About the project

Calling all math educators! Schools in Saint Lucia are seeking your skills to support K-6 math achievement.

The pandemic impacted student learning, and schools across the island are still trying to catch up. A recovery plan is in effect to strengthen the capacity of educators in teaching math, with the goal of attaining grade level among primary students and an increase in one grade level for struggling students.

As Math Support Teacher Trainer, you will collaborate with education officers, school principals, and teachers to strengthen staff capacity. Through your interactions with colleagues and community members, you will also enhance intercultural understanding between the people of Saint Lucia and Americans.
