Peace Corps in Namibia

There are more than 160 Volunteers in Namibia working with their communities on projects in education, community economic development, and health. During their service in Namibia, Volunteers learn to speak local languages, including Afrikaans, Khoekhoegowab, Otjiherero, Oshindonga, Oshikwanyama, Rukwangali, Silozi. More than 1,665 Peace Corps Volunteers have served in Namibia since the program was established in 1990.
