Looking for a rewarding way to share your marketing skills and passion for travel? Moldova’s National Tourism Office is looking to learn strategic marketing practices and tools to drive tourist interest with your support.
Moldova’s National Tourism Office identified a critical need to develop a marketing strategy and more robust digital presence. Marketing has become a top priority for Moldova’s National Tourism Office because the country’s tourism sector has not fully recovered from a steep decline during the pandemic, when visitor numbers fell dramatically and revenues dropped by about one‑third. Although recent years show gradual improvement, occupancy rates and international visibility remain low, signaling the need for stronger promotion efforts. The team has historically relied on traditional, non-digital methods and lack specialized branding, content creation, and data-driven marketing skills, which limits their ability to compete in a modern tourism landscape. Strengthening their digital skills is especially important now, as the office’s website and social media platforms have only recently been relaunched.
As a Tourism Marketing Specialist, you will collaborate with the National Tourism Office’s marketing team to improve strategic promotion, digital presence, and community-based tourism initiatives. Together, you will strengthen the partner’s digital footprint and build international awareness of the country. Your collective efforts will result in increased tourist interest and contribute to the country’s long-term sustainable tourism growth.
