Description and qualifications

About the project

Experienced education professionals are needed to strengthen the English proficiency of Moldovan teachers and classroom instruction. Will your share your passion and skills?

School teachers, especially English teachers from rural areas, are looking to become more fluent in English and improve their language instruction for students. As Moldova’s economy grows, proficiency in foreign languages is increasingly required for the country and its citizens’ professional success. English is in particular demand, but English teachers currently lack opportunities to practice and strengthen their own skills and teaching methods. The Moldova Teachers of English Association is additionally interested in translating and weaving environmental education components into their English curriculum. Ion Creanga State Pedagogical University of Chisinau is interested in translating current courses, such as animation and psychology, as well as identifying and developing new course curriculums.

As an English Teacher Trainer, you will collaborate with local educators to review and update existing curriculums. Alongside the school staff, you will provide training and identify additional learning opportunities. Your efforts will contribute to the overall quality of education in Moldova, which will provide academic and professional opportunities for the teachers and students alike.
