Create custom communications

You can also recruit Returned Peace Corps Volunteers through focused outreach efforts. Consider the following tactics and email [email protected] to tell us what you’re doing—this can help us promote your resources to RPCVs.

  • Make a landing page on your website where potential RPCV applicants can find relevant information tailored to them and promote it through social media using #RPCV and #PCJobs
  • Create and post short videos about your organization, why it might be a good fit for RPCVs and, if possible, ask RPCVs working there to talk about how Peace Corps helped lead them to their current position
  • You can also host a virtual information event or hiring fair. If you are interested in coordinating with the Peace Corps on a career-focused event, please email [email protected]

Attend career fairs

Peace Corps career fairs are typically held several times a year, both virtually and in-person, and participants include currently serving Peace Corps Volunteers, Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs), AmeriCorps alumni, and other federally funded cultural exchange program alumni, such as those from the Fulbright program. Numerous RPCVs and VISTA alumni attending these fairs may have non-competitive eligibility (NCE) status.

Subscribe to our email list to be notified about upcoming career fairs and associated opportunities for your organization to participate in these no-cost hiring events.

Post openings to the jobs board

Submit a job for free to our Career Link jobs board, which receives over 350,000 views each year. You can post as many jobs as you like. Over 50,000 RPCVs receive updates daily on new jobs.

Request service verification

Verify a Peace Corps Volunteer’s service for employment purposes by using the Peace Corps Certification Request Form.

An authorization to release information signed by the subject of the investigation is required. Please note that our office is only able to verify Peace Corps Volunteers, not Peace Corps staff members.

Please email [email protected] if you need further assistance.

Hire through non-competitive eligibility

Returned Peace Corps Volunteers have special non-competitive eligibility (NCE) hiring status that can expedite the hiring process for federal agency employers. Peace Corps staff also receive this status after three years of employment.

Learn more about NCE, how to find Peace Corps job seekers in USAJOBS, or send us an email at [email protected] to help connect you with Peace Corps Volunteers who hold NCE.
