Country Welcome for Ecuador
We are delighted to welcome you to our website, where we aim to showcase the vibrant diversity of Ecuador. Through the various sections, you will discover the country's breathtaking natural beauty, rich history, and the warmth of its people, as well as the abundant opportunities for collaboration with Ecuadorians in pursuit of their development goals.
In 1960, President John F. Kennedy issued a powerful call to the American people, urging them to engage in service beyond themselves for the benefit of communities worldwide. Our Volunteers in Ecuador have answered this call, driving meaningful change through their dedicated work. They partner closely with local communities to promote sustainable solutions in key areas such as Health and Well-being, English Language Education, and Youth and Family Development, while strengthening the capacity of Ecuadorians to improve their own lives.
At Peace Corps Ecuador, we hold that Peace Corps goals 2 and 3 are as essential as goal 1. We have witnessed how our Volunteers build and nurture meaningful relationships with their counterparts and community members during and following their service. These connections transform not only the lives of those they serve but also the Volunteers themselves, enhancing intercultural competence and fostering lasting positive change.
Our Volunteers are supported by a dedicated, passionate, and highly skilled team committed to advancing Ecuador's development and ensuring the success of our Volunteers. As one team, we strive to support the Ecuadorian people in their journey toward sustainable growth. Cultivating an environment of trust is my highest priority; I encourage all ideas and discussions, ensuring that every staff member, counterpart, and Volunteer feels empowered to raise concerns and engage in meaningful dialogue about their journey and success.
On behalf of the entire Peace Corps Ecuador team, we invite you to join us in making a difference.
