About Montana Campus Network for Civic Engagement

Montana Campus Network for Civic Engagement (MCNCE) serves as the intermediary for this project. MCNCE is a coalition of colleges and universities dedicated to fostering civic engagement, service learning, and volunteerism across Montana. Led by CEOs from participating institutions, MCNCE works to improve community life and educate students on civic and social responsibility, preparing them to be thoughtful, compassionate, and engaged leaders.

Duties

VISTA Leader works to support and enhance 10-20 VISTA members in service across the state of Montana, from office headquarters on the University of Montana campus. Leader will develop professional relationships with VISTA members and their project supervisors. Conduct regular check-ins with VISTA members to answer their questions and support them during the service year. Facilitate bi-monthly solidarity calls for VISTA members. Accompany the VISTA Director on service site visits. Contribute to the planning of service projects, such as for Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service. Support the team in planning VISTA training events, coordinate trainings, including activities such as coordinating travel plans for members and delivering educational presentations.

Qualifications

Previous term of Peace Corps service or AmeriCorps service required. Skills : Communications , General Skills , Computers/Technology , Conflict Resolution , Leadership , Public Speaking , Team Work , Writing/Editing .
