About NORTHEAST VT DEVELOPMENT ASSOC.

The Northeastern Vermont Development Association (NVDA) is a Regional Planning and Development Corporation serving the member municipalities within the 3-counties of NE VT. We are based in St. Johnsbury, VT. NVDA provides professional technical assistance to small rural communities in the areas of land use planning, transportation planning, energy planning, and emergency planning. We also assist with local community development through grant writing and administrative support and project management. NVDA provides a dynamic and flexible work environment that allows our team to experience the region's quality of life and cultural and recreational opportunities.

Duties

Supporting NVDA staff with the completion of a new regional plan and begin focusing on plan implementation; Provide planning & regulatory assistance to local communities; Assist communities with local projects through grant writing and administration and project management; Work in collaboration with other NVDA staff on a variety of diverse projects.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Planning or a related field (Public Administration, Architecture, Environmental Science, Geography, etc.); 1-3 years experience working with municipalities, regional organizations, or non-profits; Experience in grant writing & administration or project development & management; Ability to demonstrate experience working with complex and cross-cutting issues; The ability to successfully manage a variety of diverse projects simultaneously is important.
