About this program
The International MBA (IMBA) program emphasizes and values cultural integration and recognizes the need for training socially responsible global business leaders.
Past RPCV IMBA candidates have received up to 70% of tuition costs in recognition of their competitiveness and service. The Coverdell Fellows as well as an institutional fellowship - the Global Leadership Fellows is awarded in recognition of service. Returned volunteers that are non-residents of the state of South Carolina will automatically receive an additional award applied to tuition to bring the fee down to the resident rate, significantly supporting the IMBA cost. All fellowship awards are based on academic and professional merit.
The cornerstones of the IMBA are: a 2- month international marketplace immersion, foreign language study on campus and abroad (French, German, or Spanish). A global track and immersion is also available to pursue an enhanced global curriculum in a location where English is spoken widely. The IMBA offers an internationalized business core curriculum, international internship opportunity and concentration in an area of specialization.
Areas of specialization and certificates are available: Finance, Global Supply Chain and Operations Management, as well as Marketing, Business Analytics and Enterprise Resource Planning. The following focus areas also allow for enhanced study: Innovation, Finance, International Business, International Negotiations, or Social Responsibility and Stakeholder Management.
