For application fee waiver:
When completing the “Program Questions” section of the application, please indicate that you are a Peace Corps member and complete the linked Application Fee Waiver form
Please also follow up with an email to [email protected] with a copy of your service record (COS or DOS).

Admissions are rolling with decisions delivered approximately 30 days after all materials are received. Application deadline for the AMPA program is July1st, with priority for the Coverdell Fellowship given to applications received by March 15th.

Cost savings details
Fellows in our 1-year AMPA realize tremendous savings as the program offers a flat tuition rate (plus fees) regardless of residency status. SPA Funding provides a 25% scholarship to offset fees and tuition. Application fee ($50) is waived. SPA works with Fellows to secure a paid internship with a local organization.
Internship
Fellows are offered significant assistance in securing part time paid internship based on the Fellows interests, goals, and qualifications. Fellows complete an internship for a minimum of 32 weeks at minimally 5 hours per week. Fellows earn a minimum of $2,800.
Fellows have served internships in variety of areas including but not limited to: education policy and access, human services, environmental policy, food safety, housing, social justice and civil rights.

Nontraditional options
While the Fellows program does not apply to students enrolled in our online or in-person, non-AMPA courses, Returned Peace Corps Volunteers who prefer these delivery modes are eligible for in-state tuition.
