About this program

The College of Arts & Sciences at Suffolk University offers graduate degrees in fields ranging from mental health to social services, public policy, and more. Our master’s degree candidates hone their skills and deepen their knowledge of the disciplines they’re passionate about under the guidance and mentorship of faculty seasoned by years of professional practice. Applied, real-world learning is foundational to all of our programs, so students graduate with expanded portfolios, enhanced resumes, and practical work experience that enables them to make valuable contributions wherever they’re employed, as soon as they get there.

Making those contributions is vital to our academic community. Fellows apply here: https://www.suffolk.edu/graduate-admission/apply. Be sure to indicate that you are a Peace Corps member on your application. All graduate courses are held in the evening Monday thru Thursday.

Internship

Coverdell Fellows will identify internships with the assistance of our Career Education & Development Center. They will also get assistance from the Center’s internship coordinator with the guidance from the Coverdell Fellow coordinator as well as faculty within their programs of study.

Suffolk University’s Center for Community Engagement has partnerships with over 50 local, national and international community organizations working in these spaces and is eager to be able to help Coverdell Fellows find appropriate internships.

Coverdell Fellows will be expected to secure their own internships with organizations whose work is in support of impoverished and/or socially disadvantaged communities in the United States, but have significant guidance and assistance from the resources listed above. Fellows will determine which type of organization or community they want to serve, taking into consideration the skills and experiences they bring and what they want to accomplish in personal and professional growth.
