About this program
Jump Start is a perfect fit for Returning Peace Corps Volunteers! It is an accelerated teacher certification and Master’s degree program. Beginning twice a year, we offer programs that get you into your own classroom at full pay and benefits after an intense series of coursework - seven months (spring start) or one year (fall start). While teaching, you attend evening classes and complete your Master’s degree and earn New York State Initial Certification. Our focus is on urban public education and nearly all Jump Start teachers begin their teaching careers in New York City where the demand and the rewards are the greatest.
- Year partnership began: 2013
- Fellowships awarded per year (average): 3 but there is no limit!
