Description

Peace Corps Volunteers are supporting communities around the world to gain access to essential digital tools, skills, and opportunities. Volunteers work with local leaders, youth, and entrepreneurs to strengthen digital literacy and expand access to technology that supports social and economic development.

Volunteers guide communities as they learn to incorporate technology in practical, locally meaningful ways. This includes helping small businesses use digital tools to reach new markets, assisting schools and community organizations as they integrate technology into teaching and service delivery, and enabling communities to connect with new resources and opportunities. As technology evolves, Volunteers and communities also build foundational skills related to emerging tools, including responsible and context‑appropriate uses of artificial intelligence (AI).

Contributions to this fund support community‑driven projects such as establishing school and community computer labs, expanding digital literacy programs, supporting locally led innovation, and increasing access to technology, including practical AI tools that help communities learn, adapt, and thrive.
