Improve Learning Environment for a School

Description

This project seeks to improve the learning environment and student well-being at the primary school while expanding educational opportunities for students and the surrounding community. By installing an independent water system and constructing a secure perimeter fence, the school will gain reliable access to clean water and a safer campus for academic, agricultural, and community activities.

These improvements will strengthen staff, students, and community stakeholders as they expand the school garden and establish a tree nursery, supporting hands-on learning and broader agricultural production. The project is expected to directly benefit more than 250 students and staff and indirectly support over 1,000 community members by increasing instructional time, improving sanitation practices, supporting income-generating activities for school sustainability, and enhancing nutrition.

Strong collaboration between the school and community is central to this effort. More than 60 stakeholders, including staff, student groups, and local leaders, will guide implementation, oversight, and long-term maintenance. The garden master will work closely with these groups to provide regular training in agriculture, environmental stewardship, and resource management. By reinforcing ongoing efforts and opening the door to new programming, the project aims to deliver lasting benefits for students and the wider community.
