Robotics Camp
Description
This project supports a transformative five‑day robotics camp designed for teachers and a select group of students. Participants will receive hands‑on training with a comprehensive robotics kit, strengthening their skills in assembling, programming, and operating educational robots. Throughout the camp, they will explore core robotics concepts, practice problem‑solving, and learn the rules and strategies needed to take part in national and international competitions.
By the end of the training, teachers and students will gain confidence using the robotics kit and understand how to introduce robotics activities within their school’s programming club. A major barrier for many underserved schools has been the high cost of robotics kits, making participation in competitions difficult or unattainable. This project directly addresses that challenge by providing each participating teacher with a full robotics kit to bring back to their school, ensuring that learning continues well beyond the camp.
Through the combination of training and essential resources, this project strengthens schools’ ability to overcome financial and technical obstacles. It lays the groundwork for a sustainable robotics program that encourages students to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields, innovate, and compete at higher levels. In doing so, it creates long‑term opportunities that will motivate learners for years to come.
