Repair and Extend Village Footpath
Description
The goal of this project is to repair and expand the village footpath to ensure safe and reliable access for all residents. The current path has deteriorated due to erosion and heavy use, creating hazards that limit mobility and discourage participation in community activities. By addressing this urgent need, the project will improve safety, strengthen connectivity, and enhance overall quality of life for the community.
The project focuses on three objectives. First, repairing damaged sections of the footpath to remove hazards and reduce accidents. Second, expanding the route to reach the community hall and possibly other key sites if materials allow. Third, encouraging community participation to support skill development while strengthening project design and strengthening community cohesiveness. These actions aim to create a continuous, hazard‑free path that can be used daily by children, women, elderly residents, and other villagers.
Expected outcomes include increased participation in events and services and improved ease of transport for farmers moving crops and goods. Because this project responds directly to a community‑identified priority, it is positioned to deliver lasting benefits. By combining external support with local skills and resources, the initiative will strengthen the community’s ability to plan, implement, and sustain future efforts.
