Life Skills

Project by Hannah S., Volunteer from Virginia
Morocco Business Development Women and Girls in Development

Description

The main goal of this grant is to invest in the implementation of life skills for men and women in the local women’s and girls’ centers. It will support safe learning spaces, cosmetology training, and opportunities for sustainable future employment.

The objectives aim to ensure at least 70 percent of participants successfully complete the cosmetology course while also strengthening a safer, cleaner, and more functional learning environment. These efforts aim to ensure participants gain practical skills that can lead to meaningful work.

The women’s center is the only facility in the community that offers cosmetology classes, and the girls’ center serves as the sole dedicated learning space for teenage girls. This grant will strengthen these centers’ ability to provide essential training and support for women and girls seeking skills for long-term stability.
