Armenia Education Technology

Description

This grant project will refurbish an English department classroom and support the integration of educational technology into English language learning at a university in Armenia. Its goals are to enhance English instruction, strengthen digital literacy for university students and instructors, and create an interactive environment that encourages innovative learning. Tools such as a SMART board will enrich English classes, making them more engaging and effective. The local community has helped identify the need for better technological resources and has collaborated on strategies to ensure fair access and long-term sustainability.

Instructors will take part in professional development to learn how to use the new tools effectively, ensuring the project’s benefits extend beyond the grant period. University students will gain up‑to‑date skills in English learning and technology, preparing them for future academic and professional paths. Funding is vital to secure the initial investment in educational tools and to provide the training needed for effective, technology‑enhanced instruction.

This project represents an important step in modernizing teaching practices. To support sustainability, the university will implement a maintenance plan within its budget. The initiative will strengthen both educators and students, promote innovation in teaching, and provide the broader community with tools and skills that support continued growth and long‑term success.
