Healthy Educated Children

Project by Victoria V., Volunteer from California
Albania Youth

Description

Schools in many rural areas of Albania operate with limited resources and offer few opportunities beyond basic coursework. Local schools often lack dedicated areas for creativity, personal growth, and extracurricular activities, which affects students’ motivation, confidence, and overall experience. This project seeks funding to renovate an unused third floor of the school into a safe, welcoming, and inspiring creative space where students can engage in art, music, reading, group projects, workshops, and student‑led clubs—activities that are currently unavailable due to space and financial challenges.

A dedicated environment for creative expression will nurture talents, encourage collaboration, and strengthen students’ sense of belonging. Many students face financial barriers and geographic isolation that limit access to activities outside school, making the school a central part of daily life. This space will give them opportunities to explore interests, manage academic stress, and develop skills such as teamwork, problem‑solving, and self‑expression—abilities essential for long‑term success.

The renovation will include structural improvements, painting, lighting, furniture, and creative materials. With the support of educators and community members, the space will remain adaptable, sustainable, and responsive to student needs. Ultimately, this project invests in students’ confidence, engagement, and future opportunities while strengthening the connection between the school and the wider community. With support, it will transform an unused area into a meaningful place that empowers students and enriches their educational experience for years to come.
