Description

Contributions to the Timor-Leste Country Fund will be used by Volunteer to support community-driven projects in Timor-Leste. Volunteers in this young nation focus on community economic development for community groups, local non-profit organizations, or local governments, and teaching English alongside Timorese counterparts in middle or high schools. These funds might be used to help them build resource libraries or small computer labs, improve school hygiene facilities, build fish ponds or water systems, or fund other opportunities for their community income generating groups. These funds allow Volunteers and their communities to address their own, specific needs and foster sustainable change.
