Contributions to the Philippines Country Fund support sustainable, community-driven Peace Corps Partnership Program (PCPP) projects in the Philippines that are led by Peace Corps Volunteers. The Philippines is regularly hit by typhoons every year
with Volunteers being at the center of crisis and disaster. With support from this fund, Volunteers are able to immediately respond. These development projects include, but are not limited to
the following: relief operations, reconstruction of school buildings, books and
computers for damaged libraries, alternative livelihood for communities,
temporary shelter for displaced families, and disaster management.
The Philippines Country Fund also supports projects such as remedial reading and
basic education, library development, gender and diversity, environmental
education, coastal resources development, alternative livelihood, capacity
building, life skills, and youth empowerment.
