Morocco Country Fund

Contributions to the Morocco Country Fund support sustainable, community-driven Peace Corps Partnership Program (PCPP) projects in Morocco that are led by Peace Corps Volunteers. Volunteers in Morocco focus on youth development through building communicative English and life skills, as well as by enhancing youth opportunities to engage in their communities. All Volunteers and their Moroccan Counterparts are trained in sound community development and project design and management principles, which result in a high number of community projects as a hallmark of Peace Corps Morocco’s work. PCPP projects often focus on these areas by supporting camps, clubs, and workshops, while other projects invest in community priorities such as economic development, agriculture, water and sanitation, and the environment.

Youth celebrating reaching the top of Toubkal during a CLIMB project
Youth celebrating reaching the top of Mount Toubkal as part of the “C.L.I.M.B” (Creating Leadership in the Mountains and Beyond) program. With the support of PCPP, many Volunteers and community Counterparts have established C.L.I.M.B. programs, which include training in health and fitness, environmental stewardship, safety and first aid, and leadership and teamwork skills. Summiting Northern Africa’s highest peak serves as a capstone to youth’s accomplishments.
