Readout of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing between Peace Corps Director Carol Spahn and Hon. Rodwell Ferguson, Belize Minister of Sports, Youth, and Transport

Belmopan, Belize – Peace Corps Director Spahn met with the Hon. Rodwell Ferguson, Belize Minister of Sports, Youth and Transport in Belmopan, Belize for an inaugural signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Peace Corps and Belize’s Ministry of Sports, Youth, and Transport.

During the event, Director Spahn and minister Ferguson reflected on the 60 years of the Peace Corps in Belize. Director Spahn expressed her appreciation for the spirit of Belizean students, and teachers while visiting the country. Minister Ferguson shared his excitement around this MOU, and that growing up, Peace Corps volunteers helped complete a community center and he was always excited to see them in his neighborhood. Both parties look forward to fostering further collaboration and working side by side to support the youth of Belize.
