Peace Corps Mourns the Loss of Ted Sorensen

Statement from Peace Corps Director Aaron S. Williams on the passing of Ted Sorensen:

"The Peace Corps community is saddened by the loss of Ted Sorensen. Mr. Sorensen was a champion of public service opportunities and wrote several speeches for President Kennedy that inspired Americans to ask what they could do for our country. Since 1961, over 200,000 Americans have been inspired by Kennedys legacy and have served as Peace Corps volunteers. We will honor Mr. Sorensen by continuing to advance President Kennedy\'s simple but monumental idea of promoting world peace and friendship overseas.
