WASHINGTON, D.C., February 13, 2013 - Peace Corps today announced the launch of its RPCV Career Link, an interactive jobs board designed to connect returned Peace Corps volunteers (RPCVs) with post-service career and education opportunities.

RPCV Career Link replaces Hotline, the career bulletin that provided RPCVs with job announcements, scholarships and volunteer opportunities for more than 40 years. The new online, interactive format is more flexible, enables faster response times, as well as easier access for both employers and job seekers.  The job board will also be searchable by location, opportunity type and keyword.

“In today’s global job market, the skills that Peace Corps volunteers have when they return home are the skills that employers are looking for,” said Eileen Conoboy, director of The Office of Third Goal and Returned Volunteer Services. “During service, volunteers learn a second language, technical skills and how to work across cultures. RPCV Career Link connects these uniquely qualified returned volunteers with employers so they can continue to make a difference back in the United States.”

Jobs and scholarship opportunities can be posted and viewed by visiting the RPCV Career Link website. Postings are live on the site for 30 days.  

The Office of Third Goal and Returned Volunteer Services offers a wide range of career and transition support services for returned Peace Corps volunteers. In addition to RPCV Career Link, the office also organizes a career conference twice a year in Washington, D.C., which draws more than 200 RPCVs from around the country. Each career conference features a career fair with employers from the federal government, private companies and non-governmental organizations.
