Washington, D.C., February 3, 1999—In celebration of Black History Month, the Peace Corps held the first in a series of events today at Peace Corps headquarters. A panel of distinguished guests addressed the topic: "The Legacy of African American Leadership: Past, Present and Future." The panel addressed the critical roles of local, national and international leadership among African Americans.
