Washington, D. C., June 17, 1998 - Leaders from 12 countries with national service organizations will attend a week-long conference on international volunteerism sponsored by the Peace Corps next week, and visit Washington area work sites of similar organizations on Tuesday, June 23. The conference runs from June 22-26 and features participants from 22 countries representing the leading volunteer development agencies and national service organizations from around the globe. On Tuesday, June 23, these international leaders will visit the following volunteer groups:
