Peace Corps Announces 2024 Top Volunteer-Producing States

WASHINGTON – Today, the Peace Corps released its 2024 rankings of the top volunteer-producing states across the United States.

“Every day, Americans from across our nation serve abroad as Peace Corps volunteers, sharing themselves and their skills and perspectives with the communities they work alongside,” said Peace Corps Chief Executive Officer Allison Greene. “There is worldwide demand for Peace Corps volunteers, which is a testament to our unique model of people-to-people diplomacy, the value of our volunteers’ work and our success as a low-cost, high return-on-investment agency serving America’s core national interests.”

Building on the Peace Corps’ Bold Invitation campaign, the agency is reaching out to Americans eager to make a hands-on, lasting impact alongside counterparts and community members in 60 countries worldwide. As volunteers embark on their journeys, they not only contribute to making America safer, stronger and more prosperous, but also grow personally and gain invaluable professional experience.
