Bring the world to your learners

Paul D. Coverdell World Wise Schools promotes the Peace Corps' Third Goal of teaching Americans about the world. Explore multicultural educational resources and, through our Global Connections program, engage in free intercultural exchanges.

About the program

Established in 1989, the Paul D. Coverdell World Wise Schools program is dedicated to promoting global learning through lesson plans, activities, and events—all based on Peace Corps Volunteer experiences.

Through the Global Connections program, educators, youth development leaders, clubs, camps, and community groups can request a connection with a current or returned Peace Corps Volunteer who can share their story of service, and facilitate cross-cultural exchanges. Peace Corps Volunteers can help introduce learners to new world languages and cultures, promote empathy and intercultural understanding, and build global citizenship.

Connect your learners with a Volunteer currently serving in the Peace Corps.

Submit a Global Connections request

Returned Peace Corps Volunteers who are participating in the Global Connections program can find lesson plans, activity templates, best practices, and more on the Share Your Experience page.
