Organizational Development Specialist

Project description

The Conselho Nacional do Voluntariado (National Volunteering Council- CNV) in Mozambique has requested the support of Peace Corps Response Volunteers to serve as Organizational Development Specialists. CNV's 2023-2026 Action Plan is focused on the priorities of mobilizing and engaging society in volunteering, strengthening the skills of volunteers; and promotion of a continually enabling environment for volunteering, through advocacy, improved coordination, impact measurement, recognition of volunteering actors, among others. CNV is also recognized as a key partner of the Government of Mozambique in the implementation of its Volunteer Strategy, and there is considerable complementarity between the Volunteering Strategy and the CNV Action Plan. CNV had identified a challenge to technically improve the initiatives in proposals eligible for funding, as well as their logical structuring a robust strategy.

The PCRVs will work within the CNV technical team, reporting directly to the Executive Chairperson, to train the CNV technical team to develop action plans and other guiding instruments for project implementation including monitoring and evaluation strategies and tools. The PCRVs will also advise/support CNV in transforming the 2023-2026 Action Plan into a Strategic Plan, including the formulation and implementation of the resource mobilization strategy for its implementation. The overall goal of the assignment is to strengthen CNV’s institutional development, allowing the achievement of the aspirations set out in the Action Plan.

Candidates selected for this position will be arriving in Mozambique together as a group, so while the departure dates for the whole group could change, dates cannot be changed for individual candidates.
