Chicago School of Professional Psychology - International Psychology Online
Why you should consider this program
This pioneer program prepares students to respond to global needs in immigration, trauma services, entrepreneurship, environmental advocacy, and consultation. The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP) has a unique educational model, developing engaged practitioners – learning through community service and active participation to apply their skills and knowledge in new and powerful ways to serve the greater good.
Having completed their Peace Corps service, Coverdell Fellows will be uniquely prepared to discuss cultural differences, global perspectives, international needs, and commitment to service. They will find the MA IP program as a continuation of the path on which they embarked when they joined Peace Corps, and a launching pad for their professional careers in psychology.
The MA IP
is a 36 credit-hour online program consisting of core courses totaling 27 credits (including a Capstone Project and International Field Experience course), and 9 credits of concentration courses. Full-time students complete the MA IP program in 2 years.

Coverdell Fellows may complete their US based internship after successful conclusion of the Field Experience course, developing their area of interest through earlier coursework, and integrating learning from the Field Experience into their internship project. The MA IP program will work with Fellows to develop a project that meets their interests and supports an underserved population. Project examples include direct volunteer service with children at Erie House or Sue Duncan Children’s Center in Chicago, or the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights (which has offices in Chicago, Washington DC, Harlingen TX, New York NY, and Houston, TX). Students who wish to do so may opt to complete their internship projects prior to their Field Experience course, and will be supported with the same opportunities.
