The School of Social Policy & Practice (SP2) entered into a partnership with the Peace Corps in 2016 to bring the Paul D. Coverdell Fellows program to qualifying Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCV) looking to attain their Master of Social Work (MSW) degrees at the University of Pennsylvania. Given the dynamic experiences of international service, RPCV’s are a natural fit for study within the MSW program at SP2. The program allows selected Fellows to examine complex social issues through an interdisciplinary perspective, both in the classroom and through internships in the form of field placements. Fellows will be able to incorporate and share the many skills they have gained as international Peace Corps volunteers while working in field placements in Philadelphia and the surrounding area. This information session will be an excellent opportunity for you to learn more about our Master of Social Work degree program. We will also discuss dual-degree options in conjunction with other schools at Penn and financial aid information. SP2 Admissions staff will be on-hand to answer all of your questions about studying at SP2, becoming part of the Penn community, and working for social justice in and beyond Philadelphia.
