We invite you to learn about the Master of Social Work program at Florida State University's Tallahassee Campus! The College offers a Master of Social Work Traditional program (for individuals with a bachelor's degree in another discipline), which is normally completed in two years (five semesters) beginning in August of one year and ending 20 months later in April. Sixty-one (61) credit hours of required social work courses and electives are necessary for completion of the program. The College also offers an Advanced Standing Master of Social Work program, which allows BSW students to complete the MSW program in one year. Advanced Standing applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree in social work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and meet certain other specific requirements. Students in the Advanced Standing program complete 39 credit hours of required social work courses and electives. Students choose either the Clinical Social Work Concentration or the Social Leadership Concentration during the course of their studies. We are excited to help you explore the Master of Social Work program, and learn about funding opportunities as a Returning Peace Corps Volunteer!
