2019 Coordinators Conference
September 9-10, 2019
The conference will feature peer-to-peer best practice sharing and innovative recommendations to help university partner’s advance their Peace Corps Prep and Coverdell Fellows programs. There will be updates from the Peace Corps Office of University Programs, opportunities to engage with additional agency personnel, and networking opportunities.

Plan to arrive to Washington, DC on Sunday, September 8. Registration will begin at 7:45 a.m. on Monday, September 9. Sessions will conclude at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10. Please plan accordingly for return travel. It is recommended not to book any flights from Washington Reagan National Airport (DCA) before 4:30 p.m. and any flights from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) or Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) before 5:30 p.m.
Fellows Fair
Attention Coverdell Fellows coordinators!
On the evening of September 9, Peace Corps will host a Fellows Fair at Peace Corps Headquarters in DC, giving you the opportunity to market your program to prospective students.
Please note that participation in the Fellows Fair allows for one shared table per university. This opportunity is only available to Coverdell Fellows programs. Space is limited.
Peace Corps will advertise the fair to DC-area RPCVs, as well as the attendees of an RPCV Career Conference happening at the same time. If you have any questions about the fair, email [email protected].

If you need to arrive prior to Sunday, September 8, or depart after Tuesday, September 10, please check with the hotel about availability upon receipt of a hotel confirmation number, and do not book travel until you have a confirmed reservation.
Peace Corps will provide complimentary snacks and lunch on both days of the conference. You will be responsible for breakfast, dinner, and other meals.
Lodging
Funding is first-come, first-served and priority will be given until March 29, 2019 to those individuals who have not previously attended. While funding is available, Peace Corps will cover two hotel nights (check in is scheduled for Sunday, September 8 and check out is Tuesday, September 10, 2019) for one coordinator per memorandum partnership per institution. Coordinators in the DC area are encouraged to register for the conference only.
- If your institution has just one memorandum partnership with Peace Corps — either Peace Corps Prep or Coverdell Fellows — Peace Corps will only cover lodging and registration for one representative.
- If your institution has both Peace Corps Prep and Coverdell Fellows partnerships, Peace Corps will cover lodging and registration for one Peace Corps Prep coordinator and one Coverdell Fellows coordinator.
- If your institution has multiple Coverdell Fellows programs on campus, please decide who will attend on behalf of your Coverdell Fellows programs prior to registering.
Peace Corps will not cover or assist with additional costs associated with attending the conference, such as transportation to and from the conference, local transportation, additional meals, additional hotel nights, and/or other monetary requests.
