Kibinge Coffee Farmers’ Cooperative Society Ltd, is one of the successful coffee cooperatives in Uganda. They provide various services to the members and the community as a whole, such as savings and credit, coffee nursery, extension services and farm management, provision of farm inputs to its members, and community-based projects. The cooperative is focused on improving the livelihoods of its members and community through a unique “inclusive farmer service business model.” The support of a Peace Corps Response Volunteer (PCRV) has been requested to assist the organization with product development, market identification and opportunities for new markets.

The Marketing Capacity Building Specialist will carry out an independent market survey/research and share their findings with the rest of the members of the marketing and sales department, work with the youth structure of the cooperative in order to interest both current youth members and other youth in the community to enhance youth program, and organize trainings of village savings and credit organizations at village level with the view to interest them in using savings and credit services effectively. The PCRV will also create new marketing opportunities, participate in publishing of articles in KCFCS newsletters and website, and improve/upgrade existing communications and marketing strategy manual.
