HIV/AIDS Project Manager/Organizational Development Advisor
Peace Corps Response positions are open to returned Volunteers or U.S. citizens with significant professional and technical experience.
For the second phase of the project, in 2020 and 2021, ASASTRAN has the objective of bringing the HIV/AIDS seminar to additional key populations in affected areas of the Comarca. As well, they are planning to continue the professional development of their board of directors and technical committee, especially in the fields of project management and relationship-building with international NGOs. A PCRV has been requested to help facilitate the second phase of this project. The PCRV will be facilitating an organizational needs assessment and strategic planning process for ASASTRAN, focused on general organizational development, as well as training the board of directors on project and budget management and protocols and practices of working with international NGOs. The PCRV will also facilitate a community needs assessment and project planning process for ASASTRAN, focused on their 2020-2021 HIV/AIDS work and will work with the existing team of facilitators to continue the training of traditional doctors and midwives on HIV care.
• Experience in organizational and project management, ideally in community-based projects
• Experience facilitating trainings on public health-related topics
• Experience living and working in low-resource communities
• Advanced/fluent level of spoken and written Spanish
• Intercultural sensitivity
