A PCRV, with a degree in Agribusiness, Business, Agriculture, Marketing, or any other related field and experience in farm management, documentation, and procurement, is needed to build capacity on specific activities in all the farm enterprises on a rotational basis. The Farm Management Capacity Development Specialist will assist in developing business cases and cost-benefit analysis alongside technical staff of the farm, particularly through streamlining the records/information system for the farm to inform business decisions. The PCRV will also develop/review existing communication materials such as marketing/information brochures and technical reports, including the possibility of developing a radio program (script) targeting consumers. The overall goal of this assignment is to develop a plan to improve livestock production and biosecurity systems, identify grant opportunities with guidelines for management during or/after PCR service, and the development of an information management system that includes developing business cases and cost benefit analysis to inform business decisions of farm activities.
Please note that departure dates and other details of this project could change because of the uncertainties as Peace Corps and local partners resume volunteer operations. Candidates selected for this position will be arriving in Uganda together as a group, so while the departure dates for the whole group could change, dates cannot be changed for individual candidates.
• Degree in Agribusiness, Business, Agriculture, Marketing and any other related field.
• Experience in farm management, documentation, procurement is an added advantage.
