Vocational Education English Language Teacher Trainer

The ASEM National Vocational School of Commerce in Moldova has requested the support of Peace Corps Response Volunteers (PCRVs) to serve as Vocational Education English Language Teacher Trainers. Linguistic education is a topic of high interest in the academic environment of ASEM. The key needs that ASEM has identified are improving teachers’ competency in conversational English through training courses and activities, revision of the existing Business English curriculum currently utilized in the college, and improving students’ performance in English.

The PCRVs will be directly involved in foreign language (English) education process in the college and will provide direct training for teachers and co-teach groups of students. The PCRVs will also collaborate with local staff on the revision and update of the current Business English curriculum.

Candidates selected for this position will be arriving in Moldova together as a group. While the whole group's departure dates could change, dates cannot be changed for individual candidates.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in education or another relevant filed
• At least three years of teaching experience
• Experience in training and facilitation for adults
• Flexibility and adaptability to local cultural and social context
• Experience with interactive teaching skills, critical thinking skills, youth development (after school activities for students)
