Social Care Organizational Capacity Building Specialist

Project Description

Non-profit and faith-based organizations in Georgia have requested the support of Peace Corps Response Volunteers (PCRVs) to serve as Social Care Organizational Capacity Building Specialists. In Georgia, social care faces significant gaps in coverage and management of programs, posing challenges to the well-being of its citizens, especially the most vulnerable segments of population such as persons with disabilities, elderly, homeless, people with mental health needs, etc. Addressing these challenges requires a multi-faceted approach, involving increased funding, community education to combat stigma, and the development of more accessible and inclusive social care services. Non-profit organizations and faith-based organizations play a significant role in providing direct services to beneficiaries, working with the government to influence policy and funding, and partnering with international organizations to adopt best practices in social care management and quality assurance.

The PCRVs will collaborate on strategy development and action planning to guide sustainable organizational development and support the analysis of the organizational structure to identify restructuring paths in collaboration with the organizations' management. The PCRV will also co-facilitate the process of enhancing management processes, effective administration of personnel, services, and projects and help with the design and establishment of Quality Management and Control systems. The sustainability of the project will be supported through designing and implementing Training of Trainers (TOT) programs for caregiver trainers and facilitating continuous professional development initiatives for administrative staff, parents, family members, special teachers and caregivers, including English skills development.

Candidates selected for this position will be arriving in Georgia together as a group, so while the departure dates for the whole group could change, dates cannot be changed for individual candidates.
