A Peace Corps Response Volunteer (PCRV) is needed to serve as a Marketing and Multimedia Specialist for World Vision Eswatini in the Kingdom of Eswatini. World Vision Eswatini (WVE) started operating in 1992, focusing mainly on emergency relief after the devastating drought that hit Eswatini. In 1996 the focus shifted from relief to disaster mitigation, rehabilitation, and transformational development. In an effort to meet those above goals, the Communications and Operations department requires updated systems that capture and produce high impact stories to the global world and a team that is highly skilled in telling these stories in an impactful way, and there is currently a gap in the capacity of the local team in terms of high impact reporting and knowledge management.
The Marketing and Multimedia Specialist, with a bachelor’s degree in a field related to Arts/Design, Multimedia, or Advertising/Media and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, video editing software and eLearning Authoring Tools, is needed to work with World Vision Eswatini staff to build their capacity to capture high impact stories, including video and media related materials, and to improve the organization’s infographic and knowledge management systems to create a knowledge hub for World Vision's work. The PCRV will train the Communications team on videography & production skills and establish a knowledge database of model practices, manuals, guidelines, policies and strategies of the organization, as well as supporting the design, execution and production of concepts across a variety of printed and digital visual communication projects. The overall goal is to build the capacity of staff to capture high impact stories including video and media related materials and set knowledge management strategic and operational priorities of the organization.
Please note that departure dates and other details of this project could change because of the uncertainties as Peace Corps and local partners resume volunteer operations. Candidates selected for this position will be arriving in eSwatini together as a group, so while the departure dates for the whole group could change, dates cannot be changed for individual candidates.
