HIV/AIDS Prevention Coordinator

Project Description

Community health organizations and other health sector institutions in Cameroon, Malawi, and South Africa have requested the support of Peace Corps Response Volunteers (PCRVs) to serve as HIV/AIDS Prevention Coordinators. These organizations have identified needs for additional support to strengthen the capacity of their staff and community partners to carry out HIV/AIDS prevention activities.

Peace Corps Response Volunteers in these positions will support capacity building for PEPFAR implementing partners and provide guidance and training on best practices for HIV/AIDS prevention activities.

Applicants for this position should be open to serve where needed most among the listed countries. We will review your application and match your skills and eligibility to a position in a specific country with a start date in July-September 2024.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, education, or other related field.
• 2 years’ experience in low-resource health systems.
• Experience with HIV/AIDS, sexual/reproductive health, or social behavior change.
• Experience with activity planning and coordination.
