The Community Health Outreach Specialists, with a Bachelor’s degree in health or development and with project management experience, will be placed with the health facilities in the same role that the future 2-year Volunteers will work in. They will help PC/Liberia to refine and test aspects of the new project and will provide feedback about work assignments, community needs, potential Volunteer projects, and challenges to the model of the new health project. In addition, they will build capacity of community health service providers in soft skills for behavior change and M&E and they will improve maternal and child health outcomes and service utilization for those living 5km of a health facility.
