Application Process for Peace Corps Response

Take the next step to begin your journey with Peace Corps Response.

    Search current openings and identify which best suit your qualifications and interest. New openings are posted on a rolling basis.

  2. Apply

    Completing the short application takes less than an hour. Be sure to provide a detailed 2-5 page resume. You may apply to up to 3 openings every 30 days. See 5 résumé tips for your Peace Corps Response application.

  3. Health History

    You must complete a Health History Form to move forward in the application process. Peace Corps Response staff will not have access to your private medical information. There are some medical conditions that typically are not supported in Peace Corps service. Review the important medical information for applicants.

  4. Interview

    The most competitive candidates will be contacted for a web-based interview. Interviews may be up to an hour long.

  5. Invitation

    If selected, you will receive an invitation to serve. Non-selected candidates will also receive a decision via email.

  6. Medical and Legal Clearance

    Provide additional medical and legal information. You must complete the medical and legal clearance process in order to depart for service. Our medical team will certify that medical support for your specific needs can be provided.

  7. Onboarding

    Submit passport and visa documentation with provided mailing instructions and complete onboarding tasks online.

  8. Departure

    Travel to your country of service directly from your home of record. After arriving, participate in orientation for 1-2 weeks before beginning your assignment.
