Dave Ronan is on his second tour as a Peace Corps Volunteer: 20 years ago, Dave served in Belize. Before his first time in the Peace Corps, Dave's family didn't really understand why he had signed up, and it was a challenge for them to accept his choice.
Since then, Dave has worked with the United Nations in Bosnia and has even been in the restaurant business. Now he and fellow trainees are off to Nicaragua, and he's off for his second 27-month stint.
