From a young age American students learn that a balanced diet is necessary for a healthy life. But what do you do when good, nutritious foods are not readily available to you? Even though a majority of Senegal's population works in Agriculture, over half of the population is still considered food insecure, i.e. without sufficient access to high-quality, nutritious foods. Peace Corps Volunteers in Senegal are working hard to improve food security throughout the country.
