UPDATE: We Have a Winner (AGAIN)! Peace Corps Senegal has a Blog It Home Finalist for the Second Year in a Row
Congratulations to Brandon for becoming the second Peace Corps Senegal volunteer in a row to be selected as a winner in Peace Corps's annual Blog It Home competition. He will travel to Washington D.C. from October 4-10 to take part in the Top Blogger's Tour and we couldn't be prouder of him. Way to go, Brandon!
Out of 400 submissions, Health volunteer Brandon's blog

was selected as one of 20 finalists in Peace Corps's third annual Blog It Home competition. According to the selection committee, his blog "is a stellar example of how volunteers can use their blogs to support Peace Corps’ Third Goal."The Third Goal of Peace Corps is to help promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans, and volunteer blogs are huge contributors to that goal. The Blog It Home competition was created by the Peace Corps Office of Third Goal and Returned Volunteer Services to recognize Peace Corps’s top bloggers around the world. The contest's winners receive a trip to Washington, D.C., where they participate in a "Top Bloggers Tour."
As Senegal Agriculture volunteer Erika found out last year, the tour is a mixture of Third Goal activities and once-in-a-lifetime perks, such as a spot on Voice of America, a visit to the White House, tabling at the MLK Library, and tips from the chief photo editor of Smithsonian Magazine. In short: any avid blogger's dream.
