As the senior Peace Corps official and legal representative in Senegal, the CD is responsible for leading and managing the successful implementation of Peace Corps work by fostering positive relationships with host country partners, government officials and US embassy officials; inspiring professionalism, camaraderie, commitment and cultural sensitivity among Volunteers and staff; and managing and guiding Peace Corps.
Setigui Ousmane Ndiaye, Executive Assistant & Communications Specialist
Responsible for volunteer support, information management and public relations; assists the Country Director in providing customer service to volunteers, managing information and resources, documenting activities and impact, communicating programmatic information and accomplishments to internal and external audiences and planning and coordinating arrangements for events and functions; contributes to the overall efficiency and quality of operations by being a supportive and cooperative member of the PC Senegal team as it works to fulfill the vision, goals and objectives of the Post, as interpreted by the CD.

Responsible for the safety and security of volunteers; volunteer housing inspections; Emergency Action Plan development, monitoring and coordination; safety and coordination of safety and security training.

Programming and Training

Responsible for the overall programming and training content and quality, coordinates and supports the work of the Programming and Training staff and offers direct Volunteer support; also acts as an advisor to the CD and, in the event that the CD is out of the country, may assume the role of Acting CD.

Supervises and supports senior training staff; works on the design, implementation and quality assurance of Peace Corps Senegal's training program; and improves staff capacity to better support our program.

Arfang Sekou Sadio, APCD Agriculture and Food Security Coordinator

He also supervises two Program and Training Specialists.
Elias Thiam, Associate Peace Corps Director (APCD) for Environment provides overall leadership of Peace Corps (PC) Senegal’s Environment Project and maintains strong relationships with technical partners and the agencies to which Volunteers are assigned. He supports implementation of sound programming and provides direct volunteer supervision and support. He is responsible to ensure quality training and sharing of technical information and resources on the Environment with Volunteers. He recommends the profile and number of trainees Peace Corps Senegal should request and identifies viable and safe Volunteer sites and counterparts. He also supervises two Program and Training Specialists.
Falilou Sarr, APCD Community Economic Development
Implements sound programming and provides direct volunteer support, CED project manager, general knowledge about community economic development and entrepreneurship in Senegal; maintains strong relationships with the agencies to which Volunteers are assigned; determines the type of Trainees Peace Corps Senegal should request; researches and selects viable and safe Volunteer sites, and monitors the progress of each Volunteer in the CED sector. He also supervises two Program and Training Specialists.
