About the organization

At RES, we believe that human progress and the restoration of nature’s resources can go hand in hand. Our belief made us what we are today - the nation’s leading ecological restoration company, with over 300 stream miles restored and conserved, 20,000,000 trees planted, and 15,000 acres of special-status species habitat established. We restore our land and waters with integrity and innovation, one community at a time.

Duties

75% of your time, you will be designing! The projects we want you to focus on are related to stream restoration, wetland restoration and hydraulic and hydrology investigation. You will perform technical calculations in support of restoration design.

You will review the designs for quality assurance and control, provide engineering evaluations, issue technical reports and specifications, deliver floodplain analyses, construction schedules, and cost estimates. These deliverables are expected to be performed in an impeccable, clear, and concise manner, so be ready to shine your communication skills during the interview!

You will be juggling with several projects at the same time so superior attention to detail and ability to prioritize are paramount.

25% of the time, you will lead the projects. You will be coordinating the local design and implementation teams, collaborating with fisheries biologists, ecologists, geomorphologists, land acquisition specialists, and regulatory experts. You will direct collection and analysis of field data to establish existing conditions and identify potential design constraints. You will also be the main point of contact for construction oversight as needed during project implementation. This involves travel to job sites and occasional overnight stay!
