About the organization

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is responsible for enforcing federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate against a job applicant or an employee because of the person's race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information. It is also illegal to discriminate against a person because the person complained about discrimination, filed a charge of discrimination, or participated in an employment discrimination investigation or lawsuit.

Qualifications

Resume- please include your start and end dates (Month and Year) for each position, any special skills you have, and a list of three professional references

Transcripts:Undergraduate, Graduate or Professional Degree such as Juris Doctor

Desired locations -“ Only indicate locations where willing to work. Do not say any. Please specify a minimum of one, maximum of three locations. 75% of our positions are outside of Washington, DC. A complete list of locations is included below.

We are hiring 70 Equal Employment Investigators.

We are also seeking applicants for other positions in Information Technology, Human Resources, Finance, Budget, Procurement, Research, Communications, Mediation and Program analysts.

If you have a Juris Doctor and are a member in good standing of the bar we are also hiring Trial Attorneys.

Cover letter - please talk about your language skills (are you proficient in another language? Please specify), your transferable skills such as writing, analytical skills, interpersonal communication and why you wish to work for the EEOC.
