USPSC Vetting Official (VO)

USAID/Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance

About the organization

USAID and its partners must take steps to ensure that U.S. foreign assistance does not support individuals or groups designated as foreign terrorist organizations and sanctioned by the USG1. Typically, urgent humanitarian assistance programs are exempt from vetting requirements, though USAID has the ability to vet partners as needed in countries where a relevant Mission Order is in place. However, some humanitarian programs may carry an increased risk for USG funds to inadvertently benefit prohibited parties due to the ongoing presence of terrorist organizations and their affiliates.
